You will be missed...

Considering the news of the day... this song seemed appropriate.
It is meant to bring encouragement, but also to make us think about the times when we all ignore problems that are right in front of our faces because it is just easier that way...

Think about That
(13th Disciple)
by Jamie Thompson
There’s a man on the street he’s cold, tired, hungry he needs a dollar or two,
but all you do is turn away and look right through him.
A little girl’s been out of school for days,
there are bruises on her face,
but she smiles now and so do you

You do think about those teary eyes and broken hearts tonight,
bout the little kids who lie in bed with no one to hold them tight
sidewalk beds and garbage, that’s all some how,
but you just don’t think about that.

A mother cries when her child dies from bullets that weren’t meant for him
and another teen escaped tonight from this life,
and all its troubles

But you don’t think about those teary eyes and broken hearts tonight,
bout the little kids who lie in bed with no one to hold them tight
sidewalk beds and garbage, that’s all some how,
but you just don’t think about that.

A savior hung upon a cross one stormy night long ago,
so no matter how hard this life gets, look up, there’s always hope
We are our brothers keeper and its out job to make things right,
so look at your neighbor and recognize the face of Christ

And think about those teary eyes and broken hearts tonight,
bout the little kids who lie in bed with no one to hold them tight,
sidewalk beds and garbage, that’s all some how,why don’t you think about that

Frank, though I did not know you very well, you were a very intellegent guy, admired by many. I am sorry that no one took the time to think that maybe not everything in your life was as good as it seemed on the outside. I sorry you were hurting for so long and felt that you had no one to talk to.

And to others out there who may be hurting and needing to talk I want to be there for you - if you want someone to listen, or just someone to take your mind off of things.

An explaination needed...

First of all, this blog was created for the main purpose of being able to communicate via comments with my dear friend Emily who is going on 'Semester at Sea.' So, for those of you who find this page, do not expect it to be updated very often - at least not at this point.

As for the name, I have this relatively large, round, red puzzle hanging on my wall. A few Christmases (sp?) ago, my dad and I put this puzzle together. It didn't look like it would be all that hard, but it was. Granted, it is plain red, and round. There is no variation in the color at all, and the pieces are shaped unlike most puzzle pieces. I really like this puzzle and so we glued it together and mounted it so that I could hang it and keep it forever. When trying to come up with a name for the blog, I turned and looked around the room and the puzzle caught my eye. Thus the birth of the name of this blog.

And my "signature" RazHel D. DazZLe comes from my friend Emily. For some reason, over the last year or so this is what she calls me whenever she writes/types my name. I love her, but between us she is just a little crazy (as am I - :-D Love you em). And when asked about the middle initial she said, it just "seemed to fit". I figured, yeah, it fits cause this is all about communicating with Emily! And since I think you (emily) are probably the only one reading this.....HAVE FUN AT SEA! I will miss you lots.
